Hideaway Sample

This is the first 75 seconds of the 20 year old track I sent my brother, which then became the completed song of 2009: Hideaway. As you can hear, this was originally envisioned as more of a metal-type song, and it would have been had I not found/created a piano part that I really liked early on in the recording process. I prefer the vocal on the 2009 version, it's just more muscular and more how I envisioned it should be, however, the guitar sound on this clip is one my best from that era, and I really like it's power and tone, thanks to Seymour-Duncan.

Hide away from the pain of yesterday.
Can't wash away the stain with your tears.
Is there no one to comfort you?
